Jammu and Kashmir got CM
Omar Abdullah, who is the vice-president of the National Conference, has become the Chief Minister of the Union Territory for the first time and Jammu and Kashmir for the second time.
On this occasion, the India Alliance showed its strength, in which Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi, NCP's Supriya Sule, PDP President Mehbooba Mufti, CPI's D Raja and Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav also participated.
Congress not joining Omar government
Meanwhile, differences between National Conference and Congress have become clear before the swearing-in. Congress has decided not to join Omar Abdullah's government and will now support the government from outside. The question arises as to why Congress is not joining Omar government and if it is angry, then what is the reason for it.
Omar Abdullah's on rift with Congress
All though NCP had offered one ministerial post to Congress, but Congress did not accept it. Congress was demanding two ministerial posts, but when Omar Abdullah rejected it, Congress refused to join the government. Both the parties were in alliance before the elections and fought the elections together, but now Congress is not participating in the government.

NC said that “before taking oath as the first Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory, Omar Abdullah offered prayers at his grandfather's memorial in Hazratbal.”
National Conference performance in election
National Conference has won 42 seats in Jammu and Kashmir, while Congress has got only 6 seats. The Abdullah family was hoping that this time Congress's performance would be better, but it did not happen.
This is the reason why NC did not give much priority to Congress after the election results.
Though the elections held for 90 assembly seats, National Conference got 42, BJP got 29, Congress got 6, PDP got 3, JPC got 1, CPI(M) got 1, AAP got 1, and 7 independent candidates won. Congress and National Conference contested the elections in alliance.
