On Atal Jayanti, PM will lay foundation stone of Ken-Betwa Link Project today, 65 lakh people of UP & MP will benefit
The Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be on a visit to Khajuraho in Madhya Pradesh today. On the occasion of Atal Jayanti, PM Modi will lay the foundation stone of Ken-Betwa Link Project. Preparations were going on in Khajuraho for the last 15 days for the arrival of PM Modi.
More than 4 thousand soldiers have been deployed here for the security of the PM. Along with this, from the CM to all the ministers and administrative officers have taken stock of the arrangements.
PM Modi will lay foundation stone of Ken-Betwa Link Project
It is worth noting that more than 1900 villages of MP-UP will get relief from the water problem due to the Ken-Betwa Link Project. More than 40 lakh people of Madhya Pradesh and 20 lakh people of UP will benefit from the linking of Ken and Betwa river.
Foundation stone of Bundelkhand's good fortune: Shivraj

More than 1900 villages of MP-UP will relief from water problem
Meanwhile 40 lakh people of Madhya Pradesh and 20 lakh people of Uttar Pradesh will get drinking water from the Ken-Betwa River linking national project. There will be irrigation facility in 8 lakh 11 thousand hectares in Madhya Pradesh and 59 thousand hectares in Uttar Pradesh. Along with this, the fate of 8 lakh 18 thousand farmers will change, water will reach their dry fields."
PM will reach Khajuraho at 12 noon
According to the latest update, PM Modi will land at Khajuraho airport at 12.30 pm by special plane. From here he will directly reach the meeting place built near Khajuraho police station. During this time, many senior BJP leaders including Union Water Power Minister CR Patil, Union Minister Virendra Khatik, CM Mohan Yadav, Khajuraho MP VD Sharma will be present with him.
Irrigation problem of farmers will be solved
Mohan Yadav said that Prime Minister Modi has taken the initiative to realize the dream of Atal Bihari Vajpayee's River linking campaign. Through this project, farmers will get enough water for irrigation, and it will also supply enough water for drinking and industrial uses.

Under this project, along with economic and social development, tourism will also be promoted, and new employment opportunities will also be created. The water level will also improve in the drought-affected Bundelkhand region. Yadav said that the Ken-Betwa project is the country's largest irrigation project, which adopts underground pressurized pipe irrigation system
