How many members can there be in JPC?
The Speaker of Lok Sabha has to decide how many members will be there in JPC. Members of both Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha are included in the committee. Usually, there are double the members of Lok Sabha in it as compared to Rajya Sabha members. On the basis of JPC report, the government presents the amended bill in the House. The One Nation-One Election Bill is a constitutional amendment, and the government needs a special majority for it.
