Priyanka Gandhi: Priyanka Gandhi will contest from Wayanad Lok Sabha seat in Kerala. The Congress party has formally announced Priyanka as its candidate. Party general secretary KC Venugopal announced Priyanka as its candidate. Let us tell you that Priyanka herself has agreed to represent the party from Wayanad.
Congress party made her candidate from Wayanad
The Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra will contest the Lok Sabha by-election for the first time from Wayanad. While Ramya Haridas will contest from Chelakkara and Rahul Mamkuthatil from Palakkad assembly constituencies. This seat was vacated after the resignation of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi

However the by-elections on Palakkad and Chelakkara assembly seats in Kerala will be held on November 13. It was only after Rahul Gandhi resignation that Congress announced Priyanka Gandhi as the Wayanad candidate. Meanwhile After the announcement of party national president Kharge in the month of June, Priyanka had said that it would be her good fortune to contest elections from here.
Wayanad Lok Sabha seat in Kerala
The Congress party has formally announced Priyanka as its candidate for Wayanad. All though this seat has been vacant since Lok Sabha elections. Because the elected candidate from this seat Congress leader Rahul Gandhi had been resigned from it.
Priyanka been active in politics for five years
While if she will elected from Wayanad, Priyanka will become a member of any House for the first time. She entered active politics before the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. Since then she has been serving the responsibility of party general secretary. Immediately after the Election Commission announced the Wayanad Lok Sabha by-election, the Congress released the list of Priyanka Gandhi's candidature.
Elections on three seats in Kerala, one Lok Sabha; two assembly
According to the statement of the Congress party, Priyanka Gandhi will contest from Wayanad in the Lok Sabha by-election, while Rahul Mamkutathil will contest from Palakkad seat in the by-election on two vacant assembly seats in Kerala. Apart from this, the party has nominated woman leader Ramya Haridas from Chelakara assembly seat reserved for Scheduled Caste.
