South actor Nagarjuna files defamation case against, Telangana minister: Konda Surekha
A very famous face of South film industry, Nagarjuna files a defamation case against Telangana minister Konda Surekha. Meanwhile the minister of Telangana government, Konda Surekha had given a statement on the divorce of Nagarjuna's son Naga Chaitanya and Samantha Ruth Prabhu.
What Konda Surekha said ?
Minister Konda Surekha said in a statemen, against Bharat Rashtra Samiti (BRS) leader KT Rama Rao (KTR has a habit of exploiting heroines. He had rave parties with many actresses, made them addicted to drugs and then blackmailed them) this is the reason behind the Naga and Samantha's divorce. He had tapped the phones of both. Because of him many heroines get married early and leave the cinema.

However, after the controversy escalated, Surekha apologized to Samantha today. She wrote, 'I had commented questioning a leader insulting women. Samantha, this statement was not meant to hurt your feelings.'

Meanwhile Samantha said that, surviving in an industry where women heroines are mostly used as props. Falling in love, falling, standing up and fighting... all this requires a lot of courage. Konda Surekha I am proud of my journey. Please do not spoil it. Hope you realize that as a minister your words matter. All though, I am requesting, you plz respect the privacy of others too. My divorce is my personal matter and Konda Surekha should not speculate about it. We kept it private, but that does not mean that false statements should be made. Let me tell you that my divorce happened with the consent of both of us. Keep your political matter away from my name.
Nagarjuna files defamation case against Surekha
Even though Nagarjuna asked Surekha to withdraw her statement Naga Chaitanya's father Nagarjuna also gave his reaction in this matter. He has instructed Surekha to withdraw her statement on social media and has also called her allegations wrong and basless.

From Allu Arjun to Junior NTR came out in support After Surekha's statement came to the fore, many actors of the South film industry have come out in support of Samantha. Everyone is condemning Surekha's statement on social media with the hashtag #FilmIndustryWillNotTolerate.
Actor Junior NTR has also called Surekha's statement baseless. He said that she is dragging the personal life of others for her own benefit.
Allu Arjun tweeted that such statements about film personalities and families will not be tolerated. This is a very irresponsible act. South superstar Nani also tweeted on this matter.
