Kalkaji Temple Stampede: A student of IX class died due to electric shock in  Kalkaji temple at Delhi.Meanwhile Six people were injured in the stampede. This incident happened late night on October 2.  the police got information that some devotees who had come to visit Kalkaji temple were electrocuted.

Stampede in kalka ji Mandir

At 12:40,  Delhi police got information that some devotees who had come to visit Kalkaji Mandir got hit by electric current. On reaching the spot, it was found that they had come in contact with electric wire at the merging point of Rampyaayu and Lotus Temple. Police team reached the spot and admitted the injured to the hospital, switched off the electric supply and evacuated people from the spot. BSES and police inspected the spot and evacuated the temple.

IX student died due to electric current

An electric wire installed for halogen lights had broken and it had got electric current when it came in contact with the iron railing. A total of seven people were injured, out of which one was due to electric shock and six devotees were injured due to stampede. The ninth class student injured by the electric shock later died at the hospital.

Police registered the case

Now after repairing, electric supply was started in Kalkaji temple and darshan was also started for the devotees. Police has registered a case under several sections.
