Third phase of voting in Jammu and Kashmir, 11.6 percent voting till 9 am
J&K Elections: Voting for the final phase of assembly elections is going on in Valley. Meanwhile 39.18 lakh voters will decide the political fate of 415 candidates in 40 constituencies spread from the plains of Jammu to the mountains of Kashmir. Voting is to be held on 40 assembly seats in Jammu, Samba, Kathua and Udhampur districts of Jammu division and Baramulla and Kupwara districts of the valley.
Today last day of voting
All though EC have set up 5,030 polling stations for voters for the third phase. While special polling booths has been set for Valley displaced voters. Meanwhile eleven in in Jammu, 4 in Delhi and 1 in Udhampur. However there are 11 assembly seats in Jammu district, three in Samba, six in Kathua and four in Udhampur, while there are seven seats in Baramulla, three in Bandipora and six in Kupwara district
PM Modi appealed to vote to make the festival of democracy a success
Meanwhile the Prime Minister Modi also appealed, to the people of J&K on X. This is the last chance of voting in the Valley assembly elections. I request voters to come forward and cast their vote to make the festival of democracy a success. I am very much confident that apart from the young people, the women power will also participate in the voting for safe J&K.
Final phase of assembly elections is going on in Valley
While looking at the vigorous campaigning done by political parties and contesting candidates, it seems that a large number of voters will come to vote today. Though first and second phases of elections had been held on 18 and 25 September. And counting will take place on 8 October.
Urge you to exercise your democratic rights
Though Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge wrote on 'X', "As voting begins for the third phase of Jammu and Kashmir elections, I urge the people of these 40 assembly seats to exercise their democratic rights in large numbers. This is the last chance to teach a lesson to those who snatched the state status from the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
JP Nadda also appealed for vote
Meanwhile BJP President JP Nadda also , appealed to the people to ensure their participation in making this Union Territory safe, well-governed and progressive in view of the last phase of voting in Jammu and Kashmir. Nadda wrote on the social media platform 'X', "Today, I appeal to all the voters, especially the young colleagues, who are voting for the last phase of the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly elections, to ensure their participation in the creation of a safe, well-governed and progressive Jammu and Kashmir by voting in large numbers.
Key update of voting till 9 am
Today voting for assembly elections are going on in Jammu and Kashmir. Till 9 am, 11.6 percent voting has taken place here.
