Udhayanidhi on anti-Sanatana words - will not apologize: My purpose was to tell the oppressive practices of Hindus
Tamil Nadu Deputy CM Udhayanidhi Stalin has refused to apologize for the comment calling Sanatana a disease. He said at an event in Chennai on Monday that I said the same things about Sanatana that Periyar, Annadurai and Karunanidhi also used to say.

In the meanwhile, Udhayanidhi said that my statements were presented in a distorted manner. However, many court cases were also filed across the country including Tamil Nadu.
I was also asked to apologize, but I am the grandson of Kalaignar (scholar of arts). But I will not apologize.
Though, purpose of my comments was to tell about the alleged oppressive practices towards women. In Hinduism, women were not allowed to study. They could not go out of their house and if their husband died, they also had to die. Periyar had raised his voice against all this.
Udhayanidhi said - Attempts to impose Hindi in Tamil Nadu
Even though Deputy CM Stalin alleged that attempts are being made to impose Hindi in the state. He said - The recent changes made in the Tamil anthem are proof of these attempts. Some words were deliberately removed from the state anthem during Doordarshan's Tamil program.
No one can directly impose Hindi in Tamil Nadu, so they are removing some words from the Tamil anthem. They are also trying to impose Hindi through the new education policy, but they will all fail.
Udhayanidhi contriversel statement on Sanatan Dharma
Meanwhile Udhayanidhi Stalin had made a statement against Sanatan Dharma in a program on 2 September. . 4 days after making the statement, on 7 September, he clarified for the first time. He had said, 'I am not an enemy of any religion. My statement was misinterpreted.
Deputy CM said that I am against Sanatan Pratha, not Hinduism. Voices have been raised against Sanatan Dharma in Tamil Nadu for the last 100 years. We will continue to speak against it for the next 200 years as well. Ambedkar, Periyar have also spoken about it on many occasions in the past.
However, Udhayanidhi furthrt, reprimanded by the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court reprimanded Udhayanidhi Stalin on March 4. The Supreme Court had said that Stalin has misused the rights. Stalin is not a common man. He should have thought about the consequences of the statement.
Two controversial statements of Stalin
Called Modi 28 paisa PM: Udhayanidhi Stalin on March 23 accused PM Modi of discrimination in allocating funds to the state government. He said- PM should be called 28 paisa PM. When Tamil Nadu gives Rs 1 to the Center, the Center returns only 28 paisa to us.
President is tribal widow, hence not invited to Parliament: Udhayanidhi had given a controversial statement on 20 September 2023 regarding President Draupadi Murmu not being invited to the inauguration program of the new Parliament building. Udhayanidhi said- President was not invited because she is a widow and hells from the tribal community.
