Vinesh Phogat won Julana seat of Haryana, defeated BJP's Yogesh Bairagi

Vinesh Phogat Won: After voting on 90 seats of Haryana Assembly, counting of votes is going on today. Meanwhile, Congress candidate Vinesh Phogat has got a tremendous victory from Julana assembly seat, which is most discussed in Haryana. He defeated BJP candidate Yogesh Bairagi.

Congress candidate Vinesh Phogat has won from Julana assembly seat.While Phogat has defeated BJP candidate Captain Yogesh Bairagi. According to the Election Commission, Vinesh Phogat was behind for six phases, while from the seventh phase, Vinesh Phogat made her place at number one by overtaking BJP candidate Yogesh Bairagi and eventually won. At the same time, Surendra Lathar of Indian National Lok Dal was at the third place.

Wrestler won the title

All though votes were to be counted in a total of 15 phases on Julana assembly seat. According to the Election Commission, Vinesh Phogat was behind for six phases, while from the seventh phase, Vinesh Phogat made her place at number one by overtaking BJP candidate Yogesh Bairagi and eventually won.

Phogat defeated BJP Yogesh Bairagi

Vinesh Phogat got a total of 65080 votes, while Yogesh Bairagi got 59065 votes. Apart from this, Surendra Lathar got 10158 votes. In this way, Vinesh Phogat won by 6015 votes.

Phogat joined  Congress

After being out of the Paris Olympics this year, Vinesh Phogat returned to India and joined Congress on 6 September at the Congress headquarters in Delhi with Bajrang Punia. After this, Congress made Vinesh its candidate from Julana Vidhan Sabha seat of Haryana.

Disqualified from Olympics because of overweight

Wrestler Vinesh Phogat performed brilliantly in the 50 kg category in the Olympics. First Vinesh defeated the world champion. After this, she also registered a brilliant victory in the quarter-finals and semi-finals. She was considered a strong contender to win the gold medal. Vinesh Phogat had appealed to CAS for the silver medal, meanwhile CAS dismissed her case.

Agitated against Brijbhushan Sharan Singh

Vinesh Phogat took to the streets of Delhi in the year 2023, accusing Brijbhushan Sharan Singh of sexual harassment while he was the head of the Wrestling Association of India. Bajrang Punia and Sakshi Malik were also with her in this movement. During that time, these wrestlers got full support of the Congress party.
