Fake Call: An attempt was made to digitally arrest a teacher in Agra by saying that her daughter was trapped in a sex racket. Malti verma, a teacher in a government school in Agra, was taking a class when she got a call - I am calling from such and such police station, your daughter is trapped in a 'sex racket'.
Teacher died due to phone call
According to the information , a women teacher in government school in Agra, received a phone call. And afterwards started talking about her daughter, that she has been taken into custody right now, if you send 1 lakh rupees, no case will be registered against her. While hearing that her daughter was trapped in a sex racket, Malti Verma panicked and died of a heart attack. However, Malti's daughter was not trapped in any sex racket. Some people were trying to 'digitally arrest' Malti Verma, and this was the result she panicked and died.

The name of.58-year-old Malti Verma, a resident of Jagdish Pura Subhash Nagar Albatia police station of Agra, was a teacher in the Government Girls Junior High . On September 30, when she was teaching children in school, she received a WhatsApp call on her mobile. The number from which the call came had a photo of a man in police uniform. A voice came from the other side saying that your daughter has been caught in a sex racket. If you send one lakh rupees online to this number right now, no action will be taken against your daughter.

WhatsApp call on her mobile
On hearing this, Malti Verma went into depression and her health started deteriorating. Such calls came to her not once but many times, due to which she was digitally arrested. She could not handle herself with the news of her daughter being caught in a sex racket. Meanwhile ,somehow malti reached home. Even at home, she could not control herself and started complaining of chest pain. In such a situation, the family members immediately took her to Sarojini Naidu Medical Hospital in Agra, where the doctor declared her dead.

However police is investigating the calls received on Malti Verma's mobile. Preparations are being made to register a case on the information received from the family members. ACP Mayank Tiwari of Agra Loha Mandi says, 'Such incidents are increasing continuously in the name of digital arrest. Such incidents can be dealt with only through awareness and vigilance. To keep ourselves and our family safe from the new methods of such fraudsters.
