Prabhas starrer 'Salaar' promises a mix of violence and emotional depth
Director Prashanth Neel's Salaar Part 1: Ceasefire is scheduled to hit screens on December 22, featuring Prabhas, Prithviraj Sukumaran, and Shruti Haasan in lead roles. Set in the fictional city of Khansaar, the film revolves around the story of two childhood friends portrayed by Prabhas and Prithviraj. Prabhas sheds light on the film's premise and his character.
"Salaar will explore the deep emotions between the lead characters," reveals Prabhas, expressing his excitement about showcasing a new side of himself on-screen. The actor attended workshops to immerse himself in the character, collaborating with director Prashanth Neel to refine the character's body language. Describing their interactions as fun, Prabhas emphasizes the personal bond he developed with Prashanth during the process.
Reflecting on his experience working with the director, Prabhas praises Prashanth Neel as the "best director" he has collaborated with in his two-decade-long career. He highlights the personal connection formed during the shoot, stating that becoming close to Prashanth was more significant than being on set. Playing the challenging character in Salaar was a unique and unparalleled experience for Prabhas.
Salaar, with a runtime of 2 hours and 55 minutes, recently received an A certificate from the censor board. Positioned as a violent actioner, the film emphasizes the brotherly bond between the lead characters. The movie, also featuring Jagapathi Babu, is produced by Vijay Kiragandur. Expectations are soaring as Salaar marks Prashanth Neel's next project after the highly successful Yash-starrer KGF.
