In a stunning performance at the Paris Paralympics, Praveen Kumar from India has won the gold medal in the men’s high jump T64 event. Kumar, who won a silver medal at the Tokyo Games, set a new Asian record with a jump of 2.08 meters. His impressive leap secured him the top spot on the podium.

Kumar’s Performance and Competition

The 21-year-old athlete from Noida, who was born with a shortened leg, competed against five other high jumpers. His jump of 2.08 meters was his best for the season and proved unbeatable. The silver medal was awarded to Derek Loccident from the USA, who achieved a jump of 2.06 meters. Temurbek Giyazov of Uzbekistan took third place with a personal best jump of 2.03 meters.
