Prime Minister Modi inaugurated Ayodhya Dham railway station in Ramnagri
In a significant development, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the first phase of the revamped Ayodhya railway station, now known as the Ayodhya Dham Junction railway station. The inauguration ceremony witnessed the launch of new Amrit Bharat and Vande Bharat trains, along with the dedication of several other railway initiatives to the nation. The event took place amidst a warm welcome by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
The Prime Minister's visit to Ayodhya holds special significance as it precedes the grand consecration ceremony of the Ram Temple scheduled for January 22.
As part of the ceremony, Modi also marked the commencement of the Maharishi Valmiki International Airport Ayodhya Dham airport at 12.15 pm.
Later in the day, around 1 pm, Modi participated in a public program where he inaugurated, dedicated to the nation, and laid the foundation stone for multiple development projects amounting to over Rs15,000 crore in the state. Among these are projects totaling approximately Rs11,100 crore dedicated to the development of Ayodhya and its surrounding regions, along with projects worth about Rs4,600 crore related to various initiatives across Uttar Pradesh.

The Ayodhya Dham Junction railway station has undergone extensive redevelopment with an investment exceeding ₹240 crore.
Featuring a modern three-story structure, the railway station is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, including lifts, escalators, food plazas, shops catering to puja needs, cloakrooms, child care rooms, and spacious waiting halls.
The station building is designed to be 'accessible for all,' earning recognition as an 'IGBC-certified green station building.'
The inauguration of the Ayodhya Dham Junction railway station marks a significant stride in the modernization of railway infrastructure, offering enhanced services and amenities to travelers. The Prime Minister's visit underscores the government's commitment to comprehensive development and connectivity initiatives in the region.
