Prime Minister Narendra Modi led a vibrant roadshow in Nashik, Maharashtra, on Friday, where an exuberant crowd greeted him along the streets, enthusiastically waving and showering flowers on his motorcade. Accompanying him were Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Deputy Chief Ministers Devendra Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar.

Later in the day, the Prime Minister visited the Shree Kalaram Mandir in the city to offer prayers and inaugurate several developmental projects in the state.

A significant part of the visit included the inauguration and address at the 27th National Youth Festival. Addressing around one lakh youth participants, the Prime Minister emphasized the power of the youth in the country. During this event, the youth pledged to contribute to India's development, aiming to achieve this goal by 2047, coinciding with the 100th year of Indian independence.

National Youth Day celebrations extended nationwide, with the Department of Youth Affairs collaborating with various government departments and field organizations. The 'MY Bharat' volunteers, backed by NSS units, NYKS, and numerous educational institutions, united their efforts to engage in activities aimed at volunteering for India. The celebration witnessed the active participation of over 88,000 volunteers and the vibrant energy of Youth Clubs, creating an inclusive atmosphere.

The Prime Minister proceeded to Mumbai, where he inaugurated the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Sewri-Nhava Sheva Atal Setu, the longest and largest sea bridge in the country, constructed at a cost of about Rs 17,840 crore. Additionally, he laid the foundation stone for an underground road tunnel connecting Eastern Freeway's Orange Gate and launched the Namo Mahila Shashaktikaran Abhiyaan in the state.

In line with infrastructure development, the Prime Minister laid the foundation stone for an underground road tunnel connecting Eastern Freeway's Orange Gate to Marine Drive. Simultaneously, he dedicated phase 1 of the Surya regional bulk drinking water project to the nation, an initiative costing over Rs 1,975 crore, providing drinking water supply to Palghar and Thane districts, benefitting around 14 lakh people.

The programme also included the dedication of approximately Rs 2000 crore worth of railway projects to the nation. Notably, the dedication of 'Phase 2 of Uran-Kharkopar railway line' will enhance connectivity to Navi Mumbai, as suburban services running between Nerul/Belapur to Kharkopar will now be extended to Uran.
