PM Modi is widely praised for effectively hosting the G20 Summit

Modi had previously ranked top in prior rankings. Joe Biden, the US president, has a 40% approval rating, Justin Trudeau, the Canadian prime minister, 37%, Rishi Sunak, the UK president, 27%, and Emmanuel Macron, the president of France, only 24%.

Ratings are based on the data collected between September 6 and September 12

Morning Consult's most current approval ratings are based on information obtained between September 6 and September 12. The rankings were derived using a seven-day moving average of adult citizens from each country, with varying sample sizes, claims the statement. In the US, a sample size of around 45,000 is considered average. In the other countries, the sample size ranges from 500 to 5,000.

The G20 Leaders' Summit saw a resounding endorsement of the New Delhi Declaration. One of the declaration's greatest successes was bringing the major world powers together and fostering understanding on the disputed Russia-Ukraine war.

At the conclusion of the summit, Modi handed the gavel over to Lula da Silva, the president of Brazil, and he also urged that a virtual G20 conference be convened in November to consider the suggestions and recommendations made at the foremost forum for international economic cooperation.

Amit Shah shared tweet on praising PM Modi's achievement

Union Home Minister Amit Shah also shared the ranking on X (previously Twitter), writing: "The recent Morning Consult survey confirms that PM @narendramodi Ji's popularity across world leaders remains outstanding. This is a global acknowledgement of Modi Ji's unfailing ability to rescue millions of people from poverty, his selfless efforts to improve their standard of living, and the people's undying faith in him. It also provides an illustration of how well the Modi mindset works in terms of foreign policy.
