Pulwama terrorist attack- migrant labour from UP shot dead
On October 30, Monday, a terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama resulted in death of a migrant labour from UP.
The Jammu and Kashmir Police confirmed that the man was shot by the terrorist in Pulwama and then succumbed to his injuries.
Hailing from Uttar Pradesh, the victim was identified as Mukesh.
Following the attack, security forces sealed the area and have increased security.
This incident followed the terrorist attack of October 29, targeting an off-duty cop in Jammu and Kashmir.
October 29 Attack
In a shocking incident on Sunday, a terrorist attacked a police officer in the Srinagar. The police officer, Masroor Ahmad Wani, was playing cricket in Eidgah playground in Srinagar, when the terrorist shot the police officer from close proximity. The cop was severely injured, and couldn't survive the wounds even after being treated. The Terrorist shot the cop three times, in an eye, abdomen and neck.
According to reports, the terrorist was from Lashkar-e-Taiba.
Police taking measures
Details about today's terrorist attack are still awaited. The Security forces have heightened the security of the area. The police force is taking the happening with utmost seriousness. After the attack on cop Masroor, security forces are vigilant of any happening and have been checking vehicles and even pedestrians in Pulwama. The police has placed mobile vehicle checkpoint at all major Intersections in Srinagar and on the exit points of the Capital.
Continued infiltration efforts
Terrorists from Pakistan have been making attempts to enter Jammu and Kashmir. On Monday as well, security forces crippled on such infiltration attempt along the Line of Control over India Pakistan Border in the Kupwara district.
Apart from this, another infiltration attempt was countered on Sunday night in jamagund area of keran. The body of the militant was recovered by forces during search on Monday. The forces continued search operation later on as well.
On October 26, the security forces took down 5 terrorists in the gunfight with terrorists along the Line of Control (LoC) in Kupwara district. Indian Army and the Jammu and Kashmir police together worked on the operation.
