Punjab police arrested 2 people busting LeT terror module
Police on October 14 said that it busted a terror module of Lashkar-e-Taiba in Amritsar. The police caught 2 people in connection with LeT who are said to be residents of Jammu and Kashmir.
The Special Operation Cell (SSOC) of Punjab Police along with the central agency caught the module of Lashkar-e-Taiba handled by Firdaus Ahmed Bhat in a joint operation.
The police caught two Improvised Explosive devices (IED), two Hand Grenades. One pistol with two Magazines, 24 cartridges, one timer watch, eight detonators and four batteries from the module.
DGP Punjab Police took to twitter to give out the information. the tweet on X read " In a major breakthrough, SSOC-Amritsar in a joint operation with Central agency busted a LeT module and arrested 2 persons who are residents of J&K Seizure: 2 IEDs, 2 Hand Grenades, 1 pistol with 2 Magazines, 24 cartridges, 1 Timer Switch, 8 Detonators & 4 Batteries".
He further said " Terror module handled by Firdaus Ahmed Bhat, an active member of the Lashkar-e-Taiba Major blow to module attempting to disturb peace in Punjab. Punjab Police striving to make Punjab secure & safe as per vision of CM Bhagwant Mann."
What is a terror module
Terror Module is basically a unit undertaking a task against a country. In this scenario, terror module consist of the people who were in possession and handling these articles which were caught by police.
Busting a terror module essentially mean that the unit in-charge of undertaking these terrorist activities has been exposed and caught by the police.
