Rajkummar Rao's Motivation

Good Work Over Money Despite the massive success, Rajkummar Rao reveals that fame and money have never been his main goals in Bollywood. In an exclusive interview with News18, Rao shared, “We knew Stree 2 would be loved because of the popularity of the first film, but these numbers are beyond what we expected. We’re truly grateful.”

Rao, who started his journey in Bollywood with LSD Love, Sex Aur Dhokha, emphasized that he has always been driven by the desire to do good work. “Money was never the motivation for me. I wasn’t chasing fame or money; I was chasing good work. That hunger is still there,” he said.

The Importance of Box Office Numbers

When asked about the significance of box office numbers, Rao explained that they represent the number of people who have made the effort to watch the film in theaters.

“It’s very gratifying to know that lakhs of people have gone to theaters to support you, to cheer during a scene. It’s a humbling experience,” he shared.

Gratitude for Fans and a Humble Beginning

Rao also expressed deep gratitude for the love and support he has received from his fans. Coming from a humble background, he feels overwhelmed by the acceptance he has found in the industry.

“I’ve come from nowhere, from a very humble beginning. The love I’ve received from the audience feels like a personal victory. There’s nothing bigger than that,” Rao concluded.
