In a recent announcement, Champat Rai, the General Secretary of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra, shared details about the upcoming placement of the Lord Ram idol in the 'Garbh Griha' of the temple. The significant event is scheduled for January 18, with the Pran Pratishtha ceremony set to take place at 12:20 pm on January 22.

Rituals to commence tomorrow, formal procedures from Jan 16 to Jan 21

Rai stated that the religious rituals would commence on January 16 and continue until January 21. The formal procedures for pre-Pran Pratishtha sacraments will unfold during this period, leading up to the main ceremony on January 22.

Champat Rai gives Pran Pratishtha Ceremony details

The Pran Pratishtha ceremony is expected to conclude by 1 pm on January 22. The idol, weighing approximately 150-200kgs, will be placed in the 'Garbh Griha' on January 18. Notably, on January 20 and 21, darshan will remain closed to the public.

Participation of dignitaries and spiritual leaders

Champat Rai highlighted the participation of several dignitaries and spiritual leaders in the Pran Pratishtha ceremony. The event will witness the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat, Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel, UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, and other esteemed figures.

Rai emphasized the inclusivity of the ceremony, with representatives from various traditions such as Shaiva, Vaishnav, Sikh, Jain, and others expected to be present. Over 121 Acharyas will conduct the rituals, with Ganeshwar Shastri Dravid overseeing the proceedings.

As preparations intensify, people from different states are continuously contributing items like water, soil, gold, silver, gems, clothes, jewelry, bells, drums, and fragrance items. Rai shared that he has received significant contributions, including 'Bhaars' (gifts) from Janakpur and Sitamarhi.

Grand inauguration set for January 22

The inauguration of the Ram Temple, scheduled for January 22, is anticipated to be a grand event drawing dignitaries and people from various walks of life. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to attend the installation of the idol, adding to the spiritual, historical, and cultural significance of Ayodhya, the birthplace of Lord Rama.
