Resilient India Book- how PM Modi brought a paradigm Shift in Disaster Management
Resilient INDIA: In a special event in Dehradun, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami introduced a book called 'Resilient INDIA: How Modi Transformed India's Disaster Management Paradigm.' This book, put together by BlueKraft and TheModiStory, talks about how Prime Minister Narendra Modi made a big difference in how our country deals with disasters.
The book launch happened while rescue work was still going on to save 41 workers stuck in the Silkayara tunnel, which had a collapse on November 12.
The people behind the book shared the news on 'The Modi Story' platform, saying, "We are happy to announce the release of the book at the 6th World Congress on Disaster Management in Dehradun. The Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, Pushkar Dhami, and other experts released the book."
The post explained that the book tells the story of how PM Modi played a huge role in changing how India handles disasters. It covers his experiences during the Morbi flood in 1979 to the big changes he brought in disaster management.
The book talks about how PM Modi made a big shift in how India manages disasters, including being ready, building capacity, involving communities, and reducing risks.
Modi's plan for Resilient India
It tells about Modi's early days helping during the Morbi Dam Breach in 1979 and the Kutch Earthquake in 2001. These experiences influenced how he handles disasters.
As Prime Minister, Modi made a plan in 2016 to get India ready for disasters. It was called the National Disaster Management Plan (NDMP). The book talks about how India faced floods, cyclones, and the Covid-19 pandemic, and how Modi's leadership helped the country.
The book also mentions that India made two vaccines, Covaxin and Covishield, and did a huge vaccination drive for free. It shows how India became stronger in facing challenges.
In simple words, the book talks about India's journey to become a stronger and more prepared country, sharing stories from people who saw Modi's efforts in disaster management.
