Rhea Chakraborty reflects on her time behind bars

During an event, Rhea was questioned about her jail experience, and in a video she shared, the actor responded, "So, you are basically removed from society and put as a number in prison because you are deemed unfit for society. So there itself, this personality or these things you’ve created about yourself are completely broken.”

Rhea also emphasized that she was in an under-trial prison, where everyone was considered innocent until proven guilty.

Speaking about the other women in the jail, she said, “Seeing and interacting with them, I experienced a unique kind of love and resilience within those women. They found happiness in small things. They grabbed happiness when they got it. They know how to enjoy a moment, and they are some of the happiest people I have met.”

She also disclosed that her fellow inmates in the prison had a knack for finding happiness in the simplest of things, like enjoying a samosa.

So it’s just perspective; it’s how you look at it.”  Rhea had previously shared that she went on dancing in jail on the day when her bail was granted.
