Prabhas' movie Salaar has been in theaters for around two weeks. It had an impressive start, earning Rs 90 crore on the first day in India. However, its box office numbers began to decline afterward. Salaar took advantage of the holiday season, but it faced competition from Shah Rukh Khan's 'Dunki.'

On the second Wednesday, the film earned Rs 5.25 crore in India, bringing its total domestic box office to Rs 373.57 crore.

Starcast of Salaar

Featuring Prithviraj Sukumaran, Tinnu Anand, Jagapathi Babu, and Sriya Reddy in significant roles, Salaar still maintains a 17.97% occupancy in the Telugu market. In Hyderabad, it has 425 shows with an 18.5% occupancy, while in the Delhi-NCR region, Salaar has 614 shows with a 16.5% occupancy.

Box Office Collection

Trade analyst Manobala Vijayabalan reported that Salaar has surpassed the Rs 650 crore mark worldwide, making it the third Telugu film after Baahubali 2 and RRR to achieve this milestone. Baahubali 2 collected Rs 1788 crore, and RRR made Rs 1230 crore worldwide.

Salaar signifies a significant comeback for Prabhas. Despite his involvement in high-budget projects post-Baahubali films like Saaho, Radhe Shyam, and Adipurush falling short of expectations, Salaar has proven to be a success. Seen as a test of Prabhas' stardom, the Prashanth Neel film has set the stage for a sequel scheduled for release in 2025. Prabhas is also slated to star in Nag Ashwin’s Kalki 2898 AD, Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Spirit, and director Maruthi’s upcoming project.

In an interview with India Today, Prabhas revealed that the story for Salaar Part 2 is already prepared. He expressed the eagerness to start filming soon, aiming to deliver the film to audiences as quickly as possible. Recognizing the anticipation among his fans, Prabhas assured that details about Salaar Part 2 would be unveiled shortly.
