Sara Ali khan to Portray the role of Freedom Fighter for her next Project

Buzz is that the actress is all set to be a part of a patriotic film titled Aye Watan…Mere Watan, where she would be essaying the role of freedom fighter Usha Mehta.the film is all set to go on floors coming September 2022. Sara signed the film earlier this year, and now since she is done with her other commitments, she can now completely devote herself to this. We also hear that the film will primarily focus on Usha Mehta starting an underground radio station, called Congress Radio, which functioned for a few months during the Quit India Movement of 1942. That played a major role in the freedom struggle as it broadcasted uncensored news and other information banned by the British government of India.
Aye Watan…Mere Watan will be directed by Kannan Iyer, and backed by Karan Johar. Kannan was also supposed to look after the Abhinav Bindra biopic, starring Harsh Varrdhan Kapoor and father Anil Kapoor. Apparently the film has been put on hold for time being when he got a chance to direct Aye Watan…Mere Watan, he was more than happy and accepted it.
