Shefali Shah took to her Instagram story to express her joy, sharing a picture of Vir with the caption, "CONGRATULATIONS @virdas. You make us so so so proud."
Emphasizing the collective achievement, she added, "@virdas U WON THIS FOR ALL OF US."
Jim Sarbh also celebrated Vir Das's success by posting on his Instagram story.
Vir Das shared the award in the Comedy category with 'Derry Girls - Season 3,' produced by Hat Trick Productions.
The International Emmy Awards announced the winners on Instagram, stating, "We have a Tie! The International Emmy for Comedy goes to 'Vir Das: Landing' produced by Weirdass Comedy / Rotten Science / Netflix."

Competing against entries from France, Argentina, and the UK, Vir Das's win marked a significant milestone in his comedy career.
A day before the award ceremony, Vir Das posted a video on his Instagram story, reflecting on his journey from being called a terrorist to being nominated for the Emmys. He shared a message of gratitude, saying, "The universe is a full circle. So just wanted to say thanks and that if anyone out there is ever in the dark, stay till sunlight, and know that love will find you, and the universe will carry you."
Vir Das's third standup special, 'Vir Das: For India,' had previously received a 2021 International Emmy Nomination for "Best Comedy."
Apart from Vir, actors Shefali Shah and Jim Sarbh were also nominated in the Best Performance by an Actress and Actor categories. Shefali Shah was recognized for her role in the web series 'Delhi Crime Season 2' on Netflix, competing with nominees from Denmark, the UK, and Mexico.
The International Emmy Awards ceremony, held in New York City, showcased nominations from 20 countries across 14 categories, featuring a diverse group of 56 candidates.
