Sikh Restaurant Owner in UK Faces Car Vandalism in Retaliation for Past Khalistan-Related Social Media Post
A Sikh restaurant owner in the UK has reported that his cars were vandalized in an incident believed to be linked to his previous criticism of the Khalistan movement on social media. Harman Singh, the restaurant owner, disclosed that his family had been enduring threats since May following his outspoken comments.
The attack involved the splashing of red paint on the front of both of Harman Singh's cars while they were parked on his front lawn during the night. He asserted that pro-Khalistan supporters were responsible for this act. When he visited the police to provide a statement the following morning, miscreants created a dent in his car's windscreen. Harman Singh explained, "They came outside my house and threw red paint to symbolize blood as a threat. Later, they destroyed my car's windscreen. In the past eight months, they have attacked me four times."
The controversy began in May when Harman posted a video on TikTok criticizing the Khalistan movement. Following the video's release, he received two million views within two days, but also started receiving threats to remove the video, including threats to his life and his family's safety. Harman Singh's restaurant was later attacked by five individuals.
