Her entry into the party was marked by her presence alongside BJP national general secretary Anil Balun and Rajasthan in-charge Arun Singh. She made her debut in playback singing in 1973 with the film 'Abhiman' and has since won accolades for songs in movies like 'Aashiqui,' 'Dil Hai Ki Manta Nahin,' and 'Beta.' Apart from film songs, she is also renowned for her devotional songs and bhajans.

Over her more than five-decade-long career, Anuradha Paudwal has recorded over 9 thousand songs and more than 1500 hymns in languages such as Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Marathi, Sanskrit, Bengali, Tamil, Telugu, Odia, Assamese, Pambaji, Bhojpuri, Nepali, and Maithili, showcasing her versatility and dedication to music.

Expressing her happiness about joining a government that she believes has a strong connection with Sanatan Dharma, Anuradha Paudwal stated, “It is my good fortune that I am joining the BJP today.” However, she remained uncertain about contesting the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, mentioning, “I don't know anything about it yet. I will do whatever the senior leaders tell me."
Anuradha Paudwal's Background
Anuradha Paudwal's association with BJP has roots in her previous performances at events like the Ram Mandir Pran Pratishtha ceremony in Ayodhya, where she sang a bhajan. Her contributions to music have earned her recognition, including praise from Prime Minister Narendra Modi on several occasions.
Anuradha Paudwal was married to Arun Paudwal, an assistant and composer for SD Burman, until his tragic death in 1991. She has two children, Aditya and Kavita.
