15th Asian Shooting Championship: Gujarati shooter Bakhtiar Malek took home the gold medal
At the 15th Asian Shooting Championship, which was held in Korea, Bakhtiar Malek of Gujarat took home the gold medal in the individual trap shooting competition.

First one to receive such recognition
Additionally, Bakhtiar has a gold medal from the team competition. The first shooter from Gujarat to receive such a medal is Bakhtiar Malek, who represented his country and took home the gold.
Vision of winning medal in Olympics
Bakhtiar Malek is an Indian shotgun trap shooter and he has vision of winning medal in Olympic games which is going to held in paris in 2024, he is working hard towards achieving this goal. Bakhtiar has achieved 1st rank in Indian Junior Men's Trap Team and 5th rank in Indian Senior Men's Trap Team.
Bakhtiar Malek ranked 17th in the competition
At the 2021 Junior World Championships in Peru, the team won a silver medal in international competition, and ranked 17th in the individual qualifying round. Furthermore, he holds the highest score at the national level.
Manavjit Singh Sandhu is mentoring and guiding Bakhtiar Malek during his training. Both Arjun and Sandhu Dhyan Chand have received awards, including the Khel award.
