BCCI Revenue: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) was recently given a big blow by gaming company Dream11. It had decided to quit Team India's kit sponsorship after the online gaming bill was passed. Due to this, Indian players will take the field wearing jerseys without sponsors in Asia Cup 2025.
In the last five years, BCCI has made record-breaking earnings.
BCCI is earning a lot
The world's richest cricket board BCCI may be facing challenges related to sponsorship at the moment, but its financial position is continuously getting stronger. According to a Cricbuzz report, BCCI's earnings have increased by Rs 14,627 crore in the last five years. In 2023-24 alone, BCCI earned Rs 4,193 crore.
Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) bank balance has increased from Rs 6,059 crore to Rs 20,686 crore. In 2019, BCCI's general fund was Rs 3,906 crore, which has now increased to Rs 7,988 crore.
At the same time, BCCI has also made preparations regarding tax. It is making a provision of Rs 3,150 crore for the financial year 2023-24
Revenue from media rights decreased
According to this report, due to the reduction in the number of domestic international matches, BCCI's earnings from media rights decreased to Rs 813 crore. Earlier it was Rs 2,524.80 crore, however, due to high returns received on deposits, investment income increased from Rs 533.05 crore to Rs 986.45 crore.

Indian Premier League (IPL) earnings and the amount received from the International Cricket Council (ICC) have also supported the board a lot. The BCCI reported a profit of Rs 1623.08 crore in 2023–24, which is Rs 1167.99 crore more than 2022–23.

State cricket associations received Rs 1990.18 crore in this period. The state cricket associations are estimated to receive around Rs 2,013.97 crore next year. All these figures will be officially presented at the BCCI's 94th Annual General Meeting (AGM) to be held in Mumbai on September 28.
