 Cheteshwar Pujara Retire: Indian cricketer Cheteshwar Pujara has retired from all formats of cricket. He played cricket for 20 years. In these 20 years, he has also spent 13 years in international cricket. Cheteshwar Pujara played his first match in domestic cricket in the year 2005. It was a first class match, which was played between Saurashtra and Vidarbha. He also played his last match as a first class in February 2025 against Gujarat. He stepped into List A a year after his first class debut.

Pujara had an international career of 13 years

Pujara stepped into international cricket in the year 2010. Cheteshwar Pujara  made his debut against Australia in Bengaluru. At the same time, his ODI debut was in 2013 against Zimbabwe in Bulawayo. Pujara's ODI career did not last long, but his feet in Test cricket remained firm for the next 13 years after his debut. He also played his last Test against Australia in June 2023.

Cheteshwar Pujara announced retirement through Instagram

Cheteshwar Pujara informed about his retirement through social media. He announced his retirement from all formats of cricket on his Instagram. He wrote on Instagram - Wearing India's jersey was a dream come true, singing national anthem and to give your best every time you step on the field, all of them cannot be put into words. They all matter to me. But, every good thing comes to an end

Pujara's cricket career

Talking about Cheteshwar Pujara's career, in 20 years he has played 278 first class matches, 130 List A and 71 T20 matches. In first class, he has scored 21301 runs with 66 centuries. At the same time, he has 5759 runs with 16 centuries in List A. While in T20, he has scored 1556 runs with 1 century.

Cheteshwar Pujara has played 103 Tests and 5 ODIs for team India. In these 108 international matches, he has scored more than 7200 runs. Pujara has 19 centuries in Test cricket, in which his best score is 206 not out.
