But the question is also being raised that if Dream 11 is shut down, will it also affect the Board of Control for Cricket in India, which had made a 3-year deal with this company?
DREAM 11 is at risk of closure due to online gaming bill
On Wednesday and Thursday, for two consecutive days, the bill banning online money gaming was passed in both the houses of Parliament. It is clear in this bill that no person can provide any kind of online money game and online money gaming service or lure people through it. There is a provision of heavy fine and jail sentence for doing so.

Its biggest impact will be on the fantasy gaming service running in India for the last few years, in which common people used to invest money and make their team for real matches related to cricket, football and other sports and the winners used to get other prizes besides money.
Impact on Team India's sponsorship
Dream-11, which emerged as the biggest company in this, also became active in Indian cricket in the last few years and as a result, Dream-11 signed a deal of Rs 358 crore with BCCI in 2023. With this agreement, the company became the title sponsor of the Indian cricket team and since then the name of Dream-11 has been written on the jersey of Team India.
This agreement was for 3 years which is to end in 2026. But even before that, after the passing of this bill, the question is arising that how much loss will BCCI suffer from this?
Will BCCI also suffer loss of crores?
Whether BCCI suffers loss or not will depend on how big an impact it has on DREAM 11. It is clear that Dream 11 will suffer a big loss because the company is based on online money gaming and now it has been banned. But whether the company will immediately end its agreement with the Indian Board, it will be known in the coming time.
Less than 1 year is left in this deal between BCCI and Dream-11. In such a situation, BCCI has already received more than half of the amount of 358 crores, but the remaining amount will depend on whether this agreement is completed or not.
IPL will also be affected
But not only Dream-11, but the other big online gaming company My Circle-11 will also be affected by this and this company also has an agreement with BCCI. The Indian board's league, IPL, had signed an agreement with this company for 5 seasons in 2024, under which My Circle-11 became the main fantasy gaming sponsor of this league.
Meanwhile the agreement between the two was worth Rs 625 crore, that is, BCCI is getting Rs 125 crore every year from the gaming company. Only 2 seasons have passed and the agreement for 3 seasons is left. In such a situation, the future of this deal will also depend on what decision the company takes next based on the new rules.
Not only will it affect BCCI, players will also suffer!
However, a report by news agency sports lawyer Vidushpat Singhania as saying that even if these two deals break in the middle, it will not have any significant impact on BCCI. Giving the reason for this, he said that there is no shortage of sponsorship in front of the Board of Control for Cricket in India and even if this company leaves, some other option will be found.
However, he definitely said that it is bound to have an impact on the personal sponsorship of the players as many big players are associated with different fantasy gaming companies.
