IND vs NZ: Setback for New Zealand, killer bowler out of Champions Trophy final against India!
IND vs NZ: Matt Henry suffered a shoulder injury during the semi-final match played between South Africa and New Zealand just before the final of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. Due to this injury, he may now be out of the Champions Trophy final between New Zealand and India. Cricinfo has given an update just before the match.
Henry, the highest wicket-taker in the tournament, was injured while fielding, but he bowled two overs in the last overs of the match against South Africa. He was also seen diving after returning to the field after the injury.
Setback for New Zealand
After the match, captain Mitchell Santner had shown optimism about Henry's availability but now head coach Gary Stead has said that Henry's fitness remains in doubt even about 48 hours before the final. Stead said, 'I think the positive thing for us is that he came out to bowl again.
He has had some scans, and we want to give him every possible chance to play the final. However, his condition is still a bit uncertain at the moment.'While Henry has taken 10 wickets in this Champions Trophy at an average of 16.7. He took five of these wickets in the group match against India, which will also be his opponent in the final and it will be played in Dubai.
Stead further said, 'He is still in pain due to falling on his shoulder. Hopefully he will recover.'

Summary
If Henry does not play, New Zealand has the option of right-arm seamer Jacob Duffy. Duffy has not played any match for New Zealand in this tournament so far, but he got a chance against Pakistan in the pre-tournament tri-series, in which he took one wicket for 48 runs in seven overs.
