International cricketer Stuart MacGill found guilty of supplying cocaine in Australia

Former spinner Stuart McGill has been found guilty of being involved in the cocaine deal. According to Australian media reports, McGill did not have much expression on his face at the time of the verdict. He will be sentenced after eight weeks. But International cricketer has got a 'clean chit' for participating in the supply of drugs on a large scale.

The jury of Sydney District Court has acquitted the 54-year-old former leg-spinner of being involved in the deal of one kg of cocaine worth 330000 Australian dollars in April 2021. Although Australian spinner has been found guilty of being involved in drug supply.

The court was told that McGill introduced his regular drug dealer to his close relative Marino Sotiropoulos at his restaurant in Sydney. McGill said that he was not aware of the deal, but the prosecutors claimed that the deal would not have been possible without his involvement.
