CSK's boat sinks even at home

CSK's fort completely demolished
Chennai Super Kings made a great start this season by defeating Mumbai Indians (MI) by 4 wickets at their home. But after that the team's losing streak started. CSK had to face defeat at the hands of Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), Delhi Capitals (DC), Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Punjab Kings at their home.
SRH won at Chepauk for the first time. At the same time, Delhi Capitals defeated CSK at their home after 15 years. While RCB broke Chennai's fort after 17 years.
Even Dhoni could not change the fate
Nothing is going right for Chennai Super Kings this season. Neither the batsmen have shown consistency in their performance, nor have the team's bowlers been that effective. CSK suffered a major setback in the middle of the season when Rituraj Gaikwad was ruled out of the tournament due to injury. After Rituraj was out, Mahendra Singh Dhoni again took over the captaincy, but he too could not change the team's fortunes this time.
