Shardul Thakur has entered IPL 2025 through the backdoor. Lucknow Supergiants (LSG) have included the Indian pacer in their team just a day after the tournament started. LSG has included Shardul Thakur in their team as a replacement for Mohsin Khan. Mohsin is out of the league due to injury.

Lucknow Supergiants is starting its campaign in IPL 2025 on March 24. Its first match is to be played against Delhi Capitals. The LGC team has reached Visakhapatnam from Lucknow for this. Shardul Thakur has also reached Vizag with the team.

LSG has included Shardul Thakur in their team as a replacement for Mohsin Khan

Shardul's travel with LSG made it clear that he could enter the team anytime. Now an official update has also come on this. It has been confirmed that Shardul Thakur has been included in the Lucknow team as a replacement for Mohsin Khan.

Lucknow Supergiants welcomed Shardul Thakur by posting on social media on Sunday. LSG wrote on its X account, Headlines don't matter, but Lord does. Shardul is home now.' IPL has said in its statement that Shardul has been selected through the Registered Above Level Player Pool. He will get a base price of Rs 2 crore. This will be his sixth IPL team.

Shardul Thakur has previously played for Chennai Super Kings, Delhi Capitals, Kings XI Punjab (now Punjab Kings), Kolkata Knight Riders and Rising Pune Supergiants.
