Vaibhav Suryavanshi continued his impressive run in the Indian Premier League 2026 season with a match-winning performance against Royal Challengers Bengaluru, drawing praise from Virat Kohli after the game.

Chasing a target of 202, the 15-year-old Rajasthan Royals opener scored 78 runs off 26 balls, setting up a comfortable six-wicket win for Rajasthan Royals at Barsapara Stadium in Guwahati.

Suryavanshi dominated from the start, taking on experienced bowlers like Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Josh Hazlewood during the powerplay.

Following the match, Kohli met the youngster and wrote a message on his Rajasthan cap that read, "Dear Vaibhav, well done."

The innings helped Rajasthan chase down the target with 12 balls to spare, marking their fourth consecutive win in the tournament.

Under the leadership of Riyan Parag, the team has maintained strong form and strengthened its position on the points table.

Suryavanshi also claimed the Orange Cap, having scored 200 runs in four matches, including two half-centuries. He has moved ahead of Yashasvi Jaiswal in the run charts.
