IPL match in Dharamsala, moved to Ahmedabad amid escalating tensions with Pakistan

The IPL 2025, match between Punjab Kings and Mumbai Indians was to be played at Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium (HPCA) in Dharamshala, which has now been shifted. Although travel schedule time of IPL teams was affected due to the temporary closure of Dharamshala airport after India's attack on terrorist bases in Pakistan.

There was a terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir on 22 April, in which 26 tourists lost their lives. In response to this terrorist attack, India carried out missile attacks on 9 locations in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.

After this, at least 18 airports in the north and west parts of the country were closed.

Match now shifted to Ahmedabad

The temporary closure of Dharamshala airport after India's missile attack on terrorist camps in Pakistan has affected the travel schedule of IPL teams who have to play there. The match between Punjab Kings (PBKS) and Mumbai Indians (MI) was to be played at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium (HPCA) in Dharamshala on May 11 (Sunday), which has now been shifted to Ahmedabad.

Gujarat Cricket Association (GCA) secretary Anil Patel confirmed this to news agency PTI. The match between Punjab Kings and Mumbai Indians will be played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on May 11 from 3.30 pm.

Anil Patel said, 'The BCCI requested us and we accepted. Mumbai Indians are coming today and the travel plans of Punjab Kings will be known later.'

Punjab-Delhi match will be held in Dharamshala

While the match between Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals will be played at its scheduled time from 7.30 pm today at Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium in Dharamshala.
