In the 65 kg freestyle final, Under-20 World Championship bronze winner Sujeet Kalkal demonstrated his skill and secured an impressive 12-2 win over Rohit, asserting his dominance via technical superiority.
Bajrang Punia Opts Out; Vicky Chahar Claims Bronze in 97kg Category
Notably, Bajrang Punia chose to skip the wrestling nationals, while Asian Championships bronze medalist Vicky Chahar secured the bronze medal in the fiercely contested 97 kg category. Chahar emerged victorious against Karandeep Singh Nahal in the final.
Gaurav Baliyan Shifts Weight Class; Aakash Dahiya Triumphs in 61kg Final
In a strategic move aimed at the upcoming Paris Olympics, Gaurav Baliyan transitioned from the 79 kg to the 97 kg category, earning him a bronze medal. Meanwhile, Aakash Dahiya, a participant in last year's World Championships, dominated the 61 kg freestyle final, defeating Sahil Kundu with an impressive 11-0 technical superiority.
