Rohit Sharma has said in an interview that his cricket career is not over. He knows when to leave the game. Rohit announced his retirement from Tests on 8 May. Since then, questions were being raised about his future in ODI International cricket.

Rohit said that he is fully aware of when he has to retire from the game.

However, the Hitman did not make any claim about whether he will play in the 2027 ODI World Cup or not. The day I feel that I am not helping the team, I will retire.

On his style of playing in ODI International cricket, Rohit said that earlier I used to play 30 balls in 10 overs and score only 10 runs, but if I play 20 balls now, can't I score 30, 50 or runs?

I have done it, I have scored the runs I had to score. Now, I want to play cricket in a different way. I am not taking anything lightly. Don't think that things will just go on like this, that I will keep scoring 20 or 30 runs and keep playing.

The day I feel that I am not able to do what I want to do on the field, I will stop playing. That's for sure, but right now, I know that what I am doing is still helping the team.

I would have retired even if I had not won the World Cup - Rohit Rohit said in the interview that even if I had not won the T20 World Cup, I would have retired.

Because I had tried a lot and it was not right for me to continue after the T20 World Cup. You have to give opportunities to others as well, but after winning you feel that there is still something left in you. You are playing well and you have also given results, so why not? Why not continue it? '
