Suryakumar Yadav takes charge as Captain for India in T20 Series against Australia
Suryakumar Yadav has been appointed as the captain of the Indian cricket team for the upcoming five-match T20 series against Australia. The squad, which features only three players from the team that faced defeat in the World Cup final, is gearing up under Suryakumar's leadership.

India entered the World Cup final as favorites but faced a setback, suffering a six-wicket defeat at the hands of Pat Cummins's Australia. The defeat, witnessed by nearly 100,000 fans in Ahmedabad, left millions across the country heartbroken.
Suryakumar Yadav, one of the three players retained from the one-day team, is set to make his captaincy debut in the T20 series.
Notably, India and Australia clashed in a three-match series in September before the World Cup, with the hosts securing a 2-1 victory. The T20 series is scheduled to commence on Thursday in Visakhapatnam, followed by matches in Thiruvananthapuram on November 26 and Guwahati on November 28.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced that Shreyas Iyer will join the squad as the vice-captain for the last two T20s, taking place in Raipur on December 1 and Bengaluru on December 5.
