India’s men’s doubles pair Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty exited the Swiss Open 2026 quarterfinals on Friday after conceding a walkover to Denmark’s Christian Kjaer and Rasmus Kjaer.

The reason for the Indian pair not taking the court was not known.

The top seeded Indian duo had entered the quarterfinal after registering two consecutive victories in the tournament.

Strong Run Before Quarterfinal Exit

Satwik and Chirag had shown strong form earlier in the competition. In the round of 16, they defeated Japan’s Okamura and Yamashita in a 74 minute match on Thursday.

In the opening round, the Indian pair overcame Indonesia’s Koh and Kubo.

The Swiss Open campaign came after a disappointing performance at the All England Open last week, where the pair suffered a first round exit.
