The 2025 IPL season, which was suspended for a week on Friday, 9 May, is now set to resume from Thursday (May 15) or Friday (May 16).
But now it will start again after the ceasefire agreement between the two countries. For this, the dates have been decided in the BCCI meeting, the possible date of which has come to the fore.

According to a report published in the Times of India on Saturday, May 10, "The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is brainstorming to finalize the remaining schedule and matches, and according to reliable sources, all the matches will be played in different parts of India except Dharamsala."

According to reports, the foreign players who have left India will be asked to rejoin their respective teams as soon as possible. More than 60 foreign players are playing for 10 teams this season. The 58th league match played between Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals in Dharamsala on Thursday, May 8, was stopped after 10.1 overs due to the floodlights going off. According to reports, this match between PBKS and DC will be replayed when the tournament resumes next week. BCCI will soon release the new schedule of the tournament in the coming days

Let us tell you that in the matches played so far in IPL 2025, Gujarat Titans is at the top of the points table. While RCB, Punjab Kings and Mumbai Indians are at second, third and fourth positions respectively.
The match between Punjab and Delhi was canceled, so no points have been distributed between the two teams. Therefore, Delhi is at number five with 13 points after 11 matches, while KKR and Lucknow Super Giants are at number six and seven.
The playoff race is between these teams, while SRH, Rajasthan and CSK are at the last position and are now out of the race for the last four.
