U19 Asia Cup: 14 sixes, 9 fours... Vaibhav Suryavanshi dazzles again, scoring a century against UAE
U19 Asia Cup: In the ACC Men's Under-19 Asia Cup 2025, the Indian team played its opening match against the United Arab Emirates (UAE). In this match held at the ICC Academy Ground in Dubai, UAE captain Yayin Rai won the toss and elected to bowl first. All eyes were on the young Indian batsman Vaibhav Suryavanshi.

Opening the innings, Vaibhav Suryavanshi made a splash with the bat. He completed his century in 56 balls, hitting 9 sixes and 5 fours. Vaibhav reached 150 runs in 84 balls. He eventually returned with 171 runs in 95 balls. Vaibhav's innings included 14 sixes and 9 fours.
India, batting first, scored a mammoth total of 433/6 in the 50-over match. In response, the UAE team could only manage 199/7, and India won the match by 234 runs.

Second century in 10 days
Vaibhav Suryavanshi played big shots after settling in at the crease in this match. Vaibhav reached his fifty in 30 balls with the help of 4 fours and 4 sixes. He then batted aggressively to reach his century. This is his second century in 10 days. Vaibhav had scored 108* for Bihar against Maharashtra on December 2. However, captain Ayush Mhatre disappointed against the UAE, scoring just 4 runs. Aaron George and Vihaan Malhotra each scored 69 runs.
Fourteen-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi had previously performed brilliantly with the bat in the Asia Cup Rising Stars Tournament 2025. He surprised everyone by scoring 144 runs off just 42 balls against the UAE. Vaibhav's bat was in full swing throughout the series, scoring 239 runs in four matches. He then scored a century for Bihar in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2025-26.
