Video: Riyan Parag slammed for tossing phone after selfie with security personnel
Video: Rajasthan Royals have finally opened their account of victory in IPL 2025. The team defeated Chennai Super Kings in a thrilling match. This match was played in Guwahati. Riyan Parag, who is captaining in place of injured Sanju Samson, breathed a sigh of relief.
However, after the match, people got angry on social media over a video of Parag. People did not like his behavior. Sanju Samson was injured in the T20 series against England in February. It is expected that he will play as captain against Punjab Kings in the next match.
What did Riyan Parag do?
Rajasthan Royals made Barsapara Stadium in Guwahati their second home ground in 2023. The first home ground is Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur. Riyan Parag of Assam was made the captain for the first two matches. When Rajasthan played its first match against KKR in Guwahati this season, it was a big occasion for the locals. However, the team lost.

But, after taking the photo, he threw the mobile phone towards the staff member. People did not like this thing on social media. People have described this behavior of Parag as bad.
Why is Parag captaining?
Sanju Samson suffered a finger injury in the home T20 series against England in February. He has not yet fully recovered. Therefore, he played the first three matches as an impact player. At the same time, Dhruv Jurel took over the wicketkeeping responsibilities, while Parag was made the interim captain.
Summary
Samson is expected to return for the match against Punjab Kings on April 5. However, he is yet to get clearance from the BCCI's Center of Excellence. The BCCI's Center of Excellence is in Bengaluru.
