Stock Market Fall: The stock market witnessed a major fall again on Tuesday. Both the Sensex and Nifty indices plummeted at the opening. Amidst the ongoing turmoil in foreign markets, the Bombay Stock Exchange's 30-share Sensex slipped by more than 300 points at the opening, while the National Stock Exchange's Nifty index also opened with a significant decline. It is worth noting that, like Monday, there is chaos in Asian markets on Tuesday as well, with Japan's Nikkei, South Korea's KOSPI, and Hong Kong's Hang Seng indices falling by nearly 2 percent.
Meanwhile, 27 out of the 30 shares included in the BSE LargeCap opened in the red zone.

Sensex-Nifty Tumble at Opening

At the start of trading in the stock market, the BSE Sensex opened at 85,025, down from its previous close of 85,213, and then continued to fall sharply. Within just 10 minutes of trading, the Sensex had fallen by around 380 points to 84,833. The NSE Nifty fared similarly. This 50-share index opened at 25,951, down from its previous close of 26,027, and then fell by more than 120 points to 25,912.

Asian Markets Crash Again Today

Asian markets witnessed a chaotic situation at the opening on Tuesday as well. Gift Nifty was trading down 100 points, while Japan's Nikkei fell by more than 700 points to 49,355. Hong Kong's Hang Seng also dropped by nearly 2 percent and was trading at 25,122, while South Korea's Kospi Index fell by 1.80 percent to 4024.

US Market also in the red

Not only are Asian markets continuing their downward trend, but the US stock market also looked weak on the last trading day. ​​Looking at the US Stock Market, the Dow Future closed down 112 points, while the Dow Jones closed down 42 points. The S&P 500 index also closed in the red with a slight decline.

These 10 major stocks plummeted today

Talking about the stocks that suffered the most in the major decline in the Indian stock market amidst negative signals from abroad, among the BSE large-cap stocks, Axis Bank (3.40%), Eternal (3.35%), Infosys (1.30%), BEL (1.20%), and Tata Steel (1.15%) were trading lower. In the mid-cap category, Ola Electric (3%), BHEL (2.20%), and KPI Tech (1.90%) fell. In addition, among small-cap stocks, Taril (5.55%) and Stallion (5%) were trading lower.
