Rajinikanth, expressing unwavering confidence, believes in India clinching the World Cup 2023 trophy. Following his presence at the India vs New Zealand semi-final match in Mumbai's Wankhede Stadium, the veteran actor shared insights about his match experience during a brief interaction with the media upon his return to Chennai. Notably, Rajinikanth boldly predicted India's victory in the upcoming World Cup final.

Rajinikanth on India winning World Cup

Rajinikanth told news agency PTI, “At first, I felt nervous. Later, when wickets kept falling, it went well. During that one and a half hours, I was quite nervous. But I am 100 percent sure the (world) cup is ours.”

Accompanied by his wife, producer Latha, the actor of "The Jailer" fame wasn't solitary during his visit to Mumbai. They arrived in the city on Tuesday night to witness the match. In a noteworthy development in September, Rajinikanth, along with Sachin Tendulkar and Amitabh Bachchan, was granted the Golden Ticket by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), providing them access to all 48 matches of the World Cup.

Earlier, Madhuri Dixit shared a series of photos from the jam-packed stadium, featuring fans and celebrities alike. Accompanied by her husband, Dr. Shriram Nene, she was spotted posing with Rajinikanth in one of the captures.

The star-studded semi-final match saw the presence of Anushka Sharma, Vicky Kaushal, Kunal Khemu, Sachin Tendulkar, Kiara Advani, and Sidharth Malhotra, among others. Footballer David Beckham, currently on a three-day visit to Mumbai, also witnessed India's victorious performance, securing a spot in the finals. Notably, Virat Kohli's remarkable achievement of scoring his 50th ODI century stood out as the highlight of the thrilling game.
