Surat Auto Drivers to Offer Discounts on PM Modi's Birthday

In a heartwarming gesture, approximately 1,000 auto-rickshaw drivers in Gujarat's Surat have decided to offer discounts to their passengers on the occasion of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 73rd birthday.

The announcement of this generous act was made by Gujarat MLA Purnesh Modi, who expressed his gratitude towards the auto-rickshaw drivers for their thoughtful initiative. He revealed, "1,000 auto-rickshaw drivers have announced a 30 percent discount on PM Modi's birthday. I would like to thank 73 auto-rickshaw drivers who are offering a 100 percent discount on the 73rd birthday of PM Modi."

In addition to the thousand drivers providing a 30 percent discount, an additional 73 auto-rickshaw drivers have gone a step further by offering a 100 percent discount, essentially providing free rides to their passengers on this special day.

Simultaneously, on Prime Minister Modi's birthday, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will initiate a two-week campaign called 'Sewa Pakhwara.' During this period, party members will actively participate in various welfare programs, including blood donation camps, cleanliness drives, and health camps, as a way to give back to the community.

On this significant day, Prime Minister Modi will also launch the "PM Vishwakarma" scheme, an ambitious initiative aimed at assisting artisans, craftsmen, and individuals engaged in traditional skills. This endeavor underscores the government's commitment to supporting and uplifting those involved in preserving India's rich heritage of craftsmanship and traditional arts.
