Swachhta Abhiyaan: Indians participating in the clean temple drive started by PM ahead of Ram Mandir Inauguration
Indians are on a mission to clean all temples and holy spaces in India ahead of the Ram Mandir Pran Pratistha Samaroh at the request of Prime Minister Modi.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has requested all Indians to participate in Shramdhaan (efforts giving) and perform seva at all holy places. The aim is to ensure that all temples across the country are neat and clean in preparation for the inauguration of the Ram Mandir.

Indian Temples and Ram Mandir
The Shri Ram Mandir in Ayodhya is scheduled to be inaugurated on January 22. The entire nation has been eagerly anticipating this day for decades, making it a historic occasion. To enhance the grandeur of the day, the Prime Minister has urged all Indians to dedicate their efforts to clean temples throughout the country. He has encouraged people to contribute their time to clean their nearest temples and premises.
Starting from the auspicious day of Makar Sankranti on January 14th, until the Pran Pratistha Samaroh Day on January 22, the PM has requested all Indians to engage in cleaning temples near them. He has emphasized that since Shri Ram is going to Ayodhya, every temple in the country should be shining to enhance the grace of the day.

To inspire the citizens, Prime Minister Narendra Modi personally participated in cleaning a temple. During his visit to Nashik, Maharashtra, the PM mopped the floor of Kalaram Temple and encouraged fellow Indians to do the same.

Indians committed to Seva to clean temples
The Ram Mandir holds significant importance for India and Hindus, making this occasion particularly meaningful. The arrival of Lord Ram is associated with Diwali, which signifies cleaning and decorating houses and community spaces. Therefore, cleaning temples aligns with the spirit of Diwali. Hindus will celebrate Diwali in January by lighting diyas in their homes to mark the arrival of Shri Ram.
Hindus have already begun cleaning the temples, with some actively sharing photos and videos of their efforts.

Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has also participated in the campaign by cleaning a Mata Mandir in his hometown, Talcher, Odisha.
