Along with the other 5 albums, Taylor Swift lost the ownership of the masters of this album in 2019 in a a legal battle and took on the challenge to re-record all these albums so that she can own her hard-work.

These Albums are Taylor Swift (2006), Fearless (2008), Speak Now (2010), Red (2012), 1989 (2014) and Reputation (2017). Amongst these, Taylor Swift has released the re-recorded versions of Fearless, Red, Speak Now and now 1989. Reputation and Speak and her name album 'Taylor' Swift are still left to be re-released.
