Kia EV6 facelift launched at 65.9 lakh; electric SUV has 663km range with 8 airbags

Kia India showcased this electric SUV at the last India Mobility Global Expo. This electric car has been launched in only one variant.

2025 Kia EV6 Electric SUV Launched: South Korean carmaker Kia introduced its new electric SUV Kia EV6 at the India Mobility Global Expo 2025 in January. Now the facelift model of this electric car has been officially launched in the Indian market for sale. The company has introduced it with only a single variant GT-Line AWD, whose starting price has been fixed at Rs 65.9 lakh (ex-showroom).

The company claims that this car gives a range of 663KM in a single charge, its battery can be charged up to 80% in just 18 minutes. The company says that it has a new and bigger battery pack which helps it to provide better driving range. So let's see how this electric SUV is-

What's new...

The look and design of the facelift model of Kia EV6 has been changed a bit. The updates made to the exterior include new bumpers and star map headlights (new LED light bars filling the gap between them). These signature lights can also be seen in the flagship Kia EV9 SUV and the EV3 sold in overseas markets. Some design updates have been made to the 19-inch alloy wheels and rear bumper and tail-lights.

There has been no change in the size of the car. It has a length of 4,695 mm, width of 1,890 mm, height of 1,570 mm and a wheelbase of 2,900 mm. Interestingly, despite there being no change in the size of the car, Kia has managed to fit a bigger battery.

The company claims that this battery is known for better performance.

Power and Performance:

In Kia EV6, the company has given two electric motors at the front and rear, which comes with an all-wheel drive system. Both these electric motors together generate a power output of 325hp and a torque of 605Nm. The company claims that this car is capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.3 seconds.

This car has been built on the Electric Global Modular Platform (E-GMP). In which a floor-mounted battery is installed.

663 km range... Charge in 18 minutes:

However, now it has an 84kWh nickel-manganese-cobalt (NMC) battery pack, whereas the pre-facelift model used to have a 77.4kWh battery. This NMC battery is light in weight. The company claims that this car gives a range of 663 km (ARAI) in a single charge.

Apart from this, the battery can be charged from 10 to 80 percent in 18 minutes with a DC fast charger of 350kW capacity, while it takes 73 minutes with a 50kW DC charger.

Safety Features

The new Kia EV6 SUV is being given safety features like Anti Lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Hill-Hold Assist, Front Parking Sensor and 8 Airbags.

This electric SUV is also being given an excellent safety feature like Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS). In which 17 new features have been added, taking the total number of features to 27.
