Legend Returns After 22 Years
The Tata Sierra was first launched in 1991. At that time, India was probably not ready for the Sierra, which boasts a stylish look, curved gloss body, and a powerful engine. By 2003, it was discontinued. It's said that this SUV was ahead of its time. Tata Motors CEO Shailesh Chandra also said during the launch event today, "India is now ready for the Tata Sierra.
This isn't just another SUV, but the return of a legend, re-entering the market with modern technology." So, let's see what the new Tata Sierra looks like:
Look and Design
The new Tata Sierra has a strong and tall stance, giving it a premium and powerful look on the road. The front features LED DRLs across the entire width, while the grille is closed, with the Tata logo prominently displayed. The headlights are positioned low and, along with a silver-finished skid plate, add a bold touch to the front profile.
Considering the SUV's side profile, the Sierra retains its vintage identity, as seen in the models introduced in the 1990s. The boxy design and the glass panel at the rear are reminiscent of the older Sierra models. New alloy wheel design, flush door handles and strong shoulder line further enhance its look. They offer a solid look.
These Features Are Available
The Tata Sierra's cabin is as feature-rich as its exterior and includes a comprehensive suite of modern technology. It features a 10.25-inch digital driver display, a large 12.3-inch central touchscreen, and a 12.3-inch passenger screen with wireless headphones.
The Sierra also features wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support, a head-up display, a 12-speaker JBL sound system, and a dashboard-mounted sound bar with Dolby Atmos surround sound technology. To give the cabin a premium feel, ambient lighting, dual-zone AC, wireless phone charging, ventilated front seats, and powered driver seat adjustment are provided. To enhance the driving experience, it offers two drive modes and three terrain modes.
Great Safety
The Tata Sierra comes standard with six airbags, ISOFIX seat anchors, an electronic parking brake, and all-wheel disc brakes. It also features advanced and premium safety technology, including a 360-degree camera setup, front parking sensors, ABS with EBD, hill-hold, and a Level 2+ ADAS suite.
